Product Description

Megatro Power Transmission Line Steel Utility Pole (MGP-SUP07)
Megatro Power Transmission Line Steel Utility Pole (MGP-SUP07)

Power transmission Steel Utility pole
A utility pole is a steel pole used to support overhead power lines and various other public utilities, such as telephone, cable, or telecommunication.
Utility poles are commonly used to carry two types of electric power lines: Distribution lines and sub-transmission lines. Distribution lines carry power from local substations to customers. They generally carry voltages from 4.6 to 33 kV for distances up to thirty miles, and include transformers to step the voltage down from the primary voltage of the lines to the lower secondary voltage used by the customer.
Sub-transmission lines carry higher voltage power from regional substations to local substations. They usually carry 46 kV, 69 kV, or 115 kV for distances up to 60 miles. 230kV lines are often supported on H-shaped towers made with two or three poles. Transmission lines carrying voltages of above 230kV are usually not supported by poles, but by metal pylons.

MEGATRO is equipped with sophisticated machinery and equipment for the manufacture of Power transmission Steel Utility pole, we have skilled worker with certificated welders, and offers a variety of monopole types to meet client specific. Tapered steel and flanged steel poles feature designs that blend well into the environment and require minimum space for installation. Flanged steel poles are easy to handle and install. Slip type with precision fitted connections allow quick assembly of sections and total poles seems uniform and harmony with environment, especially accept by our foreign clients. Pole sections are available with identical base flange plates, allowing for simplified modifications of mounting heights.

In material we often adopt mild steel (ASTM A36, Q235B), high strength and lower alloy (ASTM A572 GR50, GR65, Q345B, Q345C, Q420, Q460, S355J0, S355JR and equivalent materials). MEGATRO can optimize design and adjust steel utility pole size to make it less weight, solid strength and economic cost. For tower surface, we adopt hot-dipped galvanization, or zinc coating on towers and components to meet ASTM-A123 standards or client accept standard...
