Met Towers/Climate measuring Steel tower This photo refer to our met tower, also name Meteorological tower or climate measuring steel tower. It is widely use in Meteorological station or mountain or coast beach or other remote area which mainly to measure wind speed, climate and other condition. Meteorological sensors will be placed on each tower at some levels to some meters height as per client requirements in addition to setting a column length of one meter at the top of the tower to be the upper end then placed wind speed sensor on it.

MEGATRO can optimize design, to set a compact structure for met tower, the tower consists of separate metal parts connecting with each other ( by screw bolts) and with triangular section and lattice tower fixed by steel wires in four or more levels and from three sides around the tower to support it by fixing points. Our Meteorological Towers is fabricated by solid steel pipe with angle or bracing members, which provides great strength, low weight and wind resistance, and economy in the use of materials. Lattices of triangular cross-section are most common, and square lattices are also widely used. After fabrication all towers are delivered to the galvanizing facility to be Hot DIP Galvanized. Towers are processed through the facility by Caustic Cleaning, Pickling, and then Fluxing. These strict procedures insure years of maintenance free towers. MEGATRO has a complete staff of professional engineering personnel trained in the PLS Pole program and three different manufacturing processes for producing steel towers, poles and other supports. We utilize the latest versions of PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, TOWER, SAP2000, AutoCAD and other CAD software. To meet the expectation, we produce shop drawings, components list and full production documentation, and even complete 3D models that facilitate the elimination of all design and drawings errors generated on the drawings. Another advantage is our 3D design and loading & design report, and can optimized the design and save cost for our clients.

Design Requirements and Basic of Design
MEGATRO will guarantee the overall safety of the tower. MEGATRO will submit design calculation report for member design of tower and overall structural stability of the structure, which is signed by a charted structural Engineer.
MEGATRO will supply the skeleton to scale, showing the assembly of the structures, the antenna mounting levels, other detail drawings etc.
The calculation method to be adopted for tower design will be decided by MEGATRO with the consent of the client.
All materials will comply with GB, BS, JIS or equivalent standards. The permissible stress of the materials will comply with GB, EN or BS, the standards adopted for all materials will be stated separately.
General Design Criteria
Mast will be designed based on GB, BS 8100, TIA/EIA-222-G-2006, IS 802 & IS875 or equivalent international standards.
MEGATRO submit the complete data showing the drag factor from various angles of wind on the antenna offered.
