Product Description

Lattice Tower for Power Transmission (MGP-LP002)
Lattice Tower for Power Transmission (MGP-LP002)

The steel lattice is the most widespread form of construction. It provides great strength, low weight and wind resistance, and economy in the use of materials. Lattices of triangular cross-section are most common, and square lattices are also widely used.

A transmission tower, also name electricity pylon is a tall structure, usually a steel lattice tower, used to support an overhead power line. They are used in high-voltage AC and DC systems, and come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Typical height ranges from 15 to 55 metres (49 to 180 ft), even higher more than 200 meter. Lattice steel towers are made up of many different steel structural components connected together with bolts or welded. Many different types of lattice steel towers exist. These towers are also called self-supporting transmission towers or free-standing towers, due to their ability to support themselves. These towers are not always made of steel; They can also be made of aluminum or galvanized steel, other materials may be used, including concrete and wood.
MEGATRO is one of the few manufactures who assemble a face of every lattice tower for power transmission. This attention to quality may not be the cheapest process but it does insure every tower meets our high standards of quality. And it helps to reduce on-site construction cost due to mismatched assemblies.

After fabrication all lattice tower for power transmission are delivered to the galvanizing facility to be Hot DIP Galvanized. Towers are processed through the facility by Caustic Cleaning, Pickling, and then Fluxing. These strict procedures insure years of maintenance free towers.
MEGATRO's lattice tower for power transmission systems can accommodate a variety of cross-arm. MEGATRO also offers a wide variety of accessories and mounts.
